Since it's the summer, which only means one thing...Suns out, Guns out ! I thought that I'd do a lil' post regarding the two most talked about Fake Tan brands, St.Tropez & St.Moriz.
I've been through my fair share of fake-tans in my lifetime, had numerous amounts of disasters, once mistaken for a fruit, another for something off Charlie & the Chocolate Factory but.....I'd rather whap out the fake tan any day than spend hours in the sun, even though my dad tells me "You need your vitamin D Lauren".
It's just something about having a tan which makes you look & feel healthier.
Once you Fake Tan, you never go back!
Both the St.Moriz & St.Tropez come in a pretty standard tube, the ST.Moriz holding 200ml compared to the St.Tropez only holding 120ml in the bottle that I bought. However, I find you are paying for the quality rather than the quantity with St.Moriz costing only £4.99 (Buy here) & St.Tropez costing £20.50 (Buy Here)

(Left is the St.Tropez, Right is the St.Moriz.)
I find the Mousse to be most desirable, personally finding it much more effortless to apply than any other Faketan choices e.g Creams/Sprays
As seen on the picture, St.Tropez has a much more rich golden undertone, however the St.Moriz looks much more washed out and faded with an orange undertone which is what I find when I apply it.
They both have a distinct smell, but nothing too overpowering.
You can clearly notice which Fake tan is of higher quality texture by the way it spreads on the body when first applying to the skin. I find you need to apply multiple times within the week to build up your tan.
Preperation is key! I use the St.Tropez Prep & Maintain Tan Eraser Mitt (Buy Here).. I ensure I moisturize the key areas which are more prone to dry skin, such as hands, knees, elbows & feet. After waiting for the moisturizer to set, I pump on the Fake tan and apply it from my shoulder downwards, leaving the face until last.
I find if I Prep beforehand then the faketan will last a longer time, without leaving the dreaded streaks which look like a dreaded skin disorder!
